There are two paths for admission into the RN to BSN online program:
Concurrently enrolled students are limited to one course per term with Radford University.

Courses
A look at the online RN to BSN curriculum
- To earn your RN to BSN degree online from Radford, you must complete 10 nursing courses (30 credit hours) and complete or transfer in the required general education and other required nursing courses for a total of 120 credit hours.
- We have a generous transfer credit policy at Radford University, and many students will only need at most 6-9* additional credit hours for general education and other required nursing coursework. Every student’s situation is different, so the final number of credits will be determined by a transcript review.
- *Students with at least 56 transferrable credit hours from a regionally accredited institution can meet the general education coursework requirements with 3 credit hours of Humanistic/Artistic Expression, and 3 credits of Cultural/Behavioral Analysis. The nursing requirements include Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition and Statistics. These nursing courses must be completed during the program, if not completed with previous coursework. A minimum of 30 transferred credits must be approved to fulfill general education requirements in this example.
Please note, NURS 409 RN Interprofessional Clinical and Capstone is a 3 hour course: 2 hours didactic and 1 hour for practicum. The course includes a required 45 in-person clinical practicum hours.
